I didn't read the Rabby hit piece, but I caught some of the fallout. I did read the Mike Decourcy fluff piece, and understand the intention behind it. 

Bottom line is Fife wants to coach. He didn't stop on his own accord. He has plenty of contacts in college basketball that know him well. If his personality wasn't an issue and if his basketball acumen was really valued (enough that other coaches could look past his personality) he'd be coaching.

Just because Woody has not been an effective head coach does not mean that Dane Fife is part of the solution for IU or anywhere else. I am not personally familiar with the dynamics, but the fact that no other program has brought Fife on board, while not dispositive, is very telling.

This was what I was thinking. A long time Izzo underling and supposed HC in waiting (although I’m not sure I believe that) hasn’t been hired? On the surface it looks like he either doesn’t wanna coach, or no one wants him. I’m sure it’s possible he doesn’t wanna leave Bloomington for his family or maybe even hoping for a job on the next staff, but it seems odd for a guy who people repeatedly say “wants to coach” selling insurance or whatever lol

And you know I can't stand Woodson. He's told his side of the story to anyone who would listen. He has been on Indy radio multiple times in the last 3 years. He's done interviews with Mike Decouracy. 

And as I said earlier neither one of them can admit they made a mistake. Just because you don't like Woodson doesn't make Fife right

Izzo was tired of his antics too. That is why when Izzo has had openings he hasn't considered bringing him back.

I could care less about fife or where he coaches. I don't want him at iu or any former players at this point. But seeing what I've seen from Woodson I would not believe most anything he says. To me it seems he would throw anyone under the bus to protect his precious ego.

The stuff was exaggerated. Both had issues but it was a bad fit from the start. Woodson didn't even know Fife was a former player.
