Woodson buyout drops to 50% of remaining salary at March 31st, 2025 essentially reducing buyout from $8.4M to $4.2M, are they waiting on that?

I think this has come up several times ... and I believe that the latest contract with his raise allows for a $1m/year payout on the buyout... but that it extended the payout for another full year... so the amount due doesn't drop until March 31, 2026...

Either way, he will be incredibly lucky to make it through the current season.

I'm good with then doing what they did... for two reasons:

  1. It wasn't my money. Waste it as you see fit, Mr Cook and Mr Simons et al.
  2. It clarifies beyond all doubt that Woodson cannot coach to save his life, regardless of the talent level at his disposal. They gave him $6M so that he could select the players of his choosing... no excuses with who he got. And the results are 100% absolutely on him.

IMO also nice Dolson was vindicated in wanting to get rid of him.

Everyone needs to stfu and listen to Scott.  He’s our best shot.

It still blows my mind they thought money
would change these. Do they even understand badketball.

I agree with this, there’s some big names involved that want a change soon.

If I donated millions of dollars to pay for this team, I think I'd want to see a change to try to salvage my investment before it's too late.

end of season soon or before Michigan game soon?

End of the season is not soon; in-season is.

The compromise option is an early announcement that this season will be the end of the line. I’m thinking that is the most likely scenario.
