The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

1. I told some people yesterday that I would be more positive so I'm doing that

2. I just wanted to feel what it is like to be Hornsby for a few minutes.

Barring a final four run I think he's gone at the end of the season. I think he knows that and so do the players. 

To be me it's just look at the last 25 years and ask yourself just what makes you think our incompetent administration will finally make the right move? They brought him back this year and gave him more money. I'm sorry but it'd hard to have any faith in them. They haven't proved they are capable of being competent until I can see them be competent.

I forgot my password on here and couldn't get signed back in so I just changed the user name. I was on Peegs around 96 or 97 and someone over there threatened to to come and keep all me. I brought up that maybe it was time to move on from RMK and a guy named Gorkjo wasn't happy with me.

It is more of making fun of the fans who take everything they say as gospel and just freak out when things don't happen

No but it’s the same administration that hired Woodson, raised his salary $1 million/year, and then brought him back for a fourth season.

I hear you but just discounting Crean is way, way off imo. Just ignoring that he took a complete dumpster fire (which was courtesy of the administration), zero scholarship players and baseball walkons, to multiple SW16’s, B1G championships and some of our all time favorite IU players, is just wrong imo.  
Have said it before but besides the disastrous handling of Sampsongate, the real failures within that 25-year period are CAM and Woodson. We were on track to getting “back” under Crean, with the right hire after him, but the Admin blew it. In fairness it/they did make the right choice to move on quickly from CAM - that itself wasn’t wrong / but utterly blew it with the stupid cadre of current trustees in going with Woodson. He never should have been on the short list.

Looking back on last year, we had a late season five game winning streak.  Most fans generally liked the run, though we still missed the tourney by a mile, making those wins fairly meaningless.  But, that five game run may have kept Woody around another year.  If he lost most of those games he might be gone.  We'll never know.

Top-5 finish in the B1G this year and win a tournament game... even with a more powerful Dolson it's not a certainty he's gone.  After all, "It's Indiana."

Is Indiana University going to fire a black coach who just finished top 5 in the league and made the NCAA tournament 3 out of 4 years?  I think you’re insane if you think so.

Now it’s possible he’s just really tired of it all and will retire.  I just can’t see his ego allowing it even if he was tired of it all.  That would give us non true fans the win and he can’t do that.

He gets paid millions of dollars to barely work and have his ego stroked every day. Zero chance he voluntarily gives that up.

Trouble catching up the last two days, but skimming over what's been discussed this afternoon:

 

Barring a final weekend in the NCAA Tournament it's a high likelihood he's gone. Only massive success will be able to cover the toxicity that's spawned between him and the fanbase. Even then, most of us realize that kind of success this year would be due to destiny or luck, not Mike Woodson.
