The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

In my opinion, the three best coaches who would actually take the IU job if offered are (in this order): Beard, Wade, Mack

Do you even like IU? Honestly, most of your time is spent calling the fans delusional, reiterating that good coaches won’t leave jobs for IU, shilling for a bad coach (until recently), and putting forth candidates that shouldn’t be on the IU radar. 

IU would be dragged in the media for hiring Wade and we would deserve it. Do you want that? 

We don’t need someone to be the intellectual authority on what IU can do or what constitutes a “realistic” candidate in your view.  Everyone here knows Stevens is a long shot, but until it’s a NO, I see no harm in people on a forum having hope/fun with it. No one needs someone to come in and laugh and act like we are dumb for thinking it. If I wanted to be made fun of for have high hopes I’d find a Purdue board to post in. 
 

If being a wet blanket on fellow IU fans makes you happy I guess do you, but it makes no sense to anyone.

Brad Brownell hasn't won a conference title in almost 20 years. Are we seriously doing this? 

Brad Brownell has had one fluke tournament run in 15 years at a school with literally zero basketball expectations who would have been fired 3 or 4 times over by now if he coached anywhere that gave a damn.

The fact that we're talking about Brad Brownell just to spite Will Wade is flat out ludicrous.

I wouldn't have paid for two degrees nor spend the amount of money I do on tickets and travel to watch IU if I didn't care.

What kind of question is that?

Being a realist doesn't change any of that.

I don't agree with you a lot, but Brad Brownell is absolutely the middest of mid coaches out there.  I saw him described as a potential hire of a coach who wouldn't win the press conference... he also wouldn't win on the court.  

Brownell would never get IU where they want to be.  If we were to hire Brownell, I would put my life savings we would be right back in this same spot in 4 years.

Cons of Wade: IU is more likely to rehire RMK at this point than hire someone who is completely sleazy and was caught on an FBI wire tap. LOL 

Can we please stop talking about Will F*cking Wade? Dude is never going to going to be hired by the admin of IU. Stevens is a much more realistic scenario than Wade at this point...

Damn. I didn’t realize that Eric Gordon was a drug dealer or a “gangster”. I know that Kelvin Sampson recruited him.
He also recruited Pritchard and Derek elston. Two other drug dealers I guess.
