After what happened in those 2 blowouts and the fans booing and chanting “Fire Woodson”, there ain’t no recovering from that! I agree with others, that win didn’t move the needle! It was two bad teams trying not to lose, and one of them had to win. realTomCrean and Juwan Moye 2

It's a horrible look for IU. I'm leaning towards he's done after NW. Home Jersey 1
Popular Post Shooter Posted January 18, 2025 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2025 As bad as we've looked, it's hard for me to believe they will fire Woody in season when he's sitting at 14-5, 5-3 Big Ten. Even though we all understand that record is a bit of fool's gold. I think he retires after the season. cybergates, AKHoosier, Pagoda and 5 others 7 1

That would be a very very bad look for a home game, especially when we are trying to get new coach and they don’t want whoever that could be, to see that, that is very bad optics! I don’t think they are going to let him coach at home with the chance the crowd reacts the way they did against Illinois when they are trying to get a new coach!

JF87 Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 We are going to beat a lot of teams that don't have the personnel to neutralize Ballo. The question is whether Woodson can find a way to beat good teams that can take Ballo away? Unfortunately, we are looking at .500 in the Big Ten again with this talented and experienced roster. Time to move on from Woodson. MikeRoberts, WayneFleekHoosier, FWHoosier84 and 3 others 6

Want no part of a dead cat bounce from an interim who then gets job full time completely screwing program as has happened to Buckeyes. Woodson needs to go but after season. An interim now could do way more damage to program long term if they do well and are kept which could absolutely happen. Want no part of Jake Diebler Ohio St situation. IU didn't hire the last interim coach and i don't see it happening in this case if Woodson is gone before the end of the year. AZ Hoosier 1

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 18, 2025 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2025 Woody may think he can bluster his way through but Dolson, Buckner et. al. are not going to want to see him subjected to another Illinois game with constant boos, chants and massive no shows or halftime walkouts. Those of us that watched him play can remember what a great player he was. But for many their memory of him down the road isn't going to be a favorable one. taco corp, thebigweave, hper50 and 10 others 13

Woody looks really labored moving around the sidelines. Looks like he has an undisclosed lower body injury that will keep him from coaching indefinitely.
