This whole thread has been about disrespecting CMW. 

I don’t know what is going to happen with the coaching staff, and I do understand the frustration and anger about this situation. However, the tone here from the start has been, how can we tear this guy down? And it has fed off itself.

 I am just one guy who is not going to do a character assassination on Woodson. I don’t claim to be bigger than anyone, but I will always advocate for not being a-holes. 

 

They have failed at everything they have done except maybe broadcasting for Buckner. Buckner is only a board member because of his name and that’s it.  They shouldn’t be allowed to make basketball decisions here. They made this a clown show.  Typical Isiah fashion not shocked.

Wasn't Don Patton the athletic director and Stan Daugherty the Delta Coach. I believe Paul Keller followed him after he left Delta.

I think that’s the problem with IU. Look at Purdue. They have been a power and are taking kids who are staying 3-4 years. They aren’t going 1 and done. And they have been a power for a few years running now. You can’t win consistently by relying on taking a ton of portal guys yearly.

At this point I feel like it's a more than 50 percent chance Woody is gone. Listened to the Assembly Call radio show and they all pretty done with Woodson. I think they also explained it all very well. It's not simply a binary choice of being for against Woodson. It's just looking at the reality of where are and where we want to be. 

And the changes we need to make are not likely to happen with Woodson. Then you hear north of 10 former players telling Dolson they want him gone. At this point who is in his corner. I think Dolson also wants him gone. If he can get another coach I think we see a change.

I remember him saying that he and his step father met with Woodson and after Woodson went through some films they went outside and talked and he decided to withdraw his name and stay at Indiana. I could be way off base as my 70 year old mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. And for the record, it was never very sharp.

To me if you keep him you have to extend him. Which is a terrible idea. Which is one reason, of many, I think Dolson is likely politicking behind the scenes to get support to move on after the season. 

To be fair they don't have to worry about recruiting HS kids if they can't be bothered to show up.

I was talking more about players worrying if the coach will be there for their 4 years

Right! So what are we doing then? I can’t see any nonpolitical reason to keep Woodson. He was suppose to right the ship and bridge to the next HC. But he hasn’t recruited high school talent to build a base off of for the next coach. Making the job even more difficult and giving the fanbase little to no hope with this staff.

Yeah, and what I’m saying is we need a base of players who will be there for 3-4 years. Then sprinkle in the 1-2 year guys (including portal). So if we aren’t recruiting kids who will be here for 3-4 years then we aren’t recruiting the right kids. 
 

im all for getting a. 5 star kid a class. But need to add several kids ranked in the top 100, ideally around 30-75 range who are high upside and talented players who go to high major programs for several years.

So , a guy who captained the last unbeaten team and had a decent pro career, and a guy who captained a national champion and was a a multi-time All -Star have both failed at everything they have done?

Bud, I get it we don’t see eye to eye, and I will gladly admit when I am wrong in our conversations, but making a statement like that makes me wonder whether you are evaluating this from a fair perspective

Yeah they met with him but he never entered his name in the portal.   He was going pro until they had that meeting.

I think the fact that media/content guys like Rabby, all of AC, ITH, Crimsoncast and even the Hysterics have turned on Woodson paints a pretty clear picture for his future.
