Love the message. I’m good if kid starts next game if we are going to be down players due to injuries. Plays hard and you can’t teach that. Do we turn a corner here?

Not sure if the team turns a corner here, but agree, I'm good with Leal getting plenty of minutes/starting from here on out. Kid's earned it.

Certainly seems Leal is setting himself up nicely if he wants to pursue the coaching route some day too based on how Woody speaks so highly of him. Sign me up for a COVID year of Tony.

If Leal continues to play like he did tonight that means he got over the proverbial hump :).  Not only would LCS want him to take his COVID year we ALL would for sure.

I don't think we'll have any open scholarships available next year.  DWS

Those defensive plays he made against Perkins in the final two minutes when Perkins was trying to take over is big time stuff.

Good point and one that will probably get lost a little. He struggled a little on D but came up with 2 or 3 really good defensive possessions to close out the game. Just as big as timely shots.

I feel like I may be the only guy defending him, but I think Anthony Walker takes way too much flack from IU fans.  I never doubt his effort and everything I've seen from him shouts great team mate.  He's a decent bench player -- don't know who else we have on the bench that can put up 6 points in 16 minutes per game off the bench.  Only thing I would change was eliminating his three point shot altogether.

Don't know how many people caught it, but he was really choked up when X went down.  Walker had been benched for most of the second half at that point but he wasn't sitting there sulking.....dude has known X less than a year and took it harder than anyone.

I saw that. I definitely view him differently in a much more positive way.
