IUBB vs Purdue - Tuesday, 01.16.24 @ 7:00

Recommended Posts

I've said I like Gallo at the 1 as of right now previously, but in this game we really do need XJ to play well and do his thing on both sides of the ball. Everyone's got to bring their best for this one. Of the two games this week, I feel better about Purdue at home... Woody normally has them prepared for these guys. Not sure if we win but do expect and think we'll play hard. We can't get the KU game back but would be nice to get a win this time. I'm sure the energy will be through the roof!

Kansas was -5.5 at Assembly Hall but Purdue -10?

The respect they're getting from pollsters and oddsmakers these days is astounding. About 1/3 of the AP voters and coaches still had them #1 this week. Imagine losing by 16 to an unranked team, and that many people keep you in the same spot the next week. For a team that has a well-established track record of doing its best work early in the season, it's pretty crazy.

Yeah I try to be objective I know they are really good but them being almost double the favorite that Kansas was in a game where we will actually have the students there surprised me.

And you are right, they have become a bit of a media darling over the last few years at this point a lot of them are rooting them on. Would be interested to see how IU would get treated if we lost to a 13, 15, and 16 seed in three straight seasons.
