Don’t get me wrong…..this was HORRIBLE….but a half hour after the game the 20-4 run seems kind of sweet (you don’t need to remind me we sucked the first 30-34 minutes. Yes, I know).

At the 6:00 mark I thought we were toast.

I went over to Our Hoosier Board — it formed by former ESPN IU posters.  It stayed active until a couple of years ago

What is the highest number of games an IU team has won and not made the tourney? Honestly think it may be something to watch.

That said, I’m not overly fond of how much margin of victory has become meaningful in a team making the field.

I maybe wrong but I think it was 22 wins!  I think if we get to 22 wins, we will get in.  That will put us a 12-8 in the B10 and that should put us in the top 5

For what it’s worth, this time last year, we were also 8-3 on December 19th and went 9-3 by beating Elon on December 20th, 2022.

I actually don't mind margin of victory being more of a factor now. I was going back over our scores today, and with this one included, I believe we've only scored seven more points than we've allowed this season. That's usually not the hallmark of a good team.

It shouldn’t be.  It never was in BK era.  A win is a win.  There are many reasons why the margin of victory is less for some teams and it could be they have a key injury, a player for the other team gets extremely hot and can’t miss, the team is young and inexperienced, the team has a bunch of new players and they have a chemistry issue, etc…. Well IU has 3 of the 4 I mentioned above.  I still think this team has a really high ceiling, I just hope it’s not too late before they reach it!

Since the tourney expanded, its 20 in the Covid year and 19 the year before.

So ugly. Needed that one bad, but goodness gracious this team is something awful.

2nd half. Galloway played so hard. Mgbako is giving better effort. I really like Reneau. But overall such a flawed team. We play so slow.

Was Reneau getting into it with a fan at the end? Something has him pissed off.
