Judah Jenkins is surprising. Baltimore kid who played at a powerhouse program that was offered by JMU while CC was the coach. A lot of DMV area kids played for CC.

I'm pretty sure you're correct. Carpenter and Etheridge were both quoted in a article saying they liked the Cignetti hire.

Edit: Here's the article. All 3 were mentioned in it and 2 were recruited by by JMU according to the article and their 247 profiles.

Either can't perform or just didn't fit the system.

Although the Etheridge one would be odd for either of those. He was recruited by JMU and had offers from Penn State, Duke, VT, and a few other P5 schools. So that one may have been his choice, since he didn't commit to JMU in the first place.

A coach specifically for DE, he didn't have that at JMU. Checking the CSU site, Williams has a developed some All Conference players granted at FCS.

Obviously. Just saying at JMU they didn't have a coach specifically for DE, Kuntz handled the whole defensive line there so this is something that Cignetti is doing differently at IU.

Look, I'm obviously a gullible idiot, but this hire feels different. 100% different from CTA. This guy is not screwing around. If everything starts at the top, then I'm glad he's that guy. I like how he is building his staff and team. After the last couple of years, we really need a reset.

It was just a comment to what is going on in the program.  

It's possible he just wants them both on staff and willing to alter things to make that work for everyone.

Could be that Kuntz is taking on a bigger role as well? He was likely a candidate to get a DC job somewhere next year after the year his line had this season.

Honest to God, they look like they would have been in John Pont’s office. But based on the way Coach seems to be, I doubt anyone’s gonna be sitting much.
