CSP Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I've never seen anything like that. Just casually getting 7 transfers from the same school haha... counting Kamara... Is that 8 former JMU guys? Quote

Hoosierfan222 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I hope Kidwell gets a waiver, not sure why he would, but he would be a big help at OL, quite a few of those guys fill a need for us… Carpenter, Kidwell, Fisher, Horton, Stephens… Quote
rcbowla Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Most of those guys are going to help for sure. Black is kinda meh to me but RB depth is necessary. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 So these are obviously the 7 dudes Coach Cig was alluding to last week? Quote

And another wave after spring ball. This. I am tracking CCC has the club at 87 grants for '24 - I would assume the staff has some additional pruning in mind in light of the latest round of additions. JerryYeagley23 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I know he will. But hope Cig integrates these guys into the locker room smoothly. Wouldn’t want a “Mitch Mustain” situation to seep into the locker room with “his guys.” (If you know you know) Hardwood83 1 Quote
TrueHoosier62 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I hope the kids coming over from JMU are up to the challenge of playing in a league like the Big Ten. No disrespect meant, but this ain't the Sun Belt. VPC, Alford Bailey and WayneFleekHoosier 3 Quote

Expect them to hold players accountable and tell them exactly what the coaches expect. I would expect more discipline a d less dumb penalties with these new players helping to integrate the whole team into the CCC experience. Whether they play or not look at these JMU players as culture spreaders. Edited December 24, 2023 by iuthruandthru MemphisHoosier, thebigweave, TrueHoosier62 and 3 others 6 Quote
Hoosierfan222 Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Look, I wouldn’t expect all of the JMU guys to start, but I do think there’s a few who have a chance (Kidwell, Kamara, Fisher, Walker, Carpenter in particular), but we also need depth and, maybe more importantly, Cig wants to institute his culture at IU. Even if a lot of them are nothing more than depth/rotational pieces, they know Cig and they know the system so it’s good to have those guys around. IU hasn't had B1G talent in a long time and that has been part of the problem. The bigger problem under Allen was not developing that talent and a lack of discipline. Even with IU's mid-major talent level last season, better coaching could've gotten to a bowl game. thebigweave 1 Quote

VPC Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 My concern played out on the field against Air Force. As others have stated, they’ll need to step Up to play week in and week out in the BIG. Not saying that they can’t do it, but they’ll need to prove it on the field. Quote
