Stuhoo Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Here’s the new topic: You get to pick a player in the history of IUBB to watch an IU game with. It your house; just you and the player. Food and drink as needed. Who are you picking? NOT a coach—so not Branch or RMK. Quote

Stromboli Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 AJ Moye for me. This because I ran into him one afternoon upstairs at Nicks, a few years after we’d both graduated. And he was awesome to talk to, just sat there shooting the sh!t with me, telling stories about playing. Really personable guy. @Hovadipo I can’t imagine some of the one-liners and awkwardness of watching with OG. Dave from Dayton, thebigweave and WayneFleekHoosier 3 Quote

I like to think we’d skip the game and just watch Letterkenny or something. thebigweave and ALASKA HOOSIER 1 1 Quote
Stuhoo Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 Yup. For me it’s OG. Runners up? Walt Bellamy. Marco Killingsworth for no holds barred. Logan Duncomb for pure oddity. Derek Elston for comedy. Coverdale for a good time. Eli Holman out of curiosity. Michael Lewis to gauge whether he’s the guy. ALASKA HOOSIER, Dave from Dayton and thebigweave 3 Quote

BGVille Hoosierfan Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Adam Ahlfeld. Feel like he’s just as crazy a fan as I am and would really get into it. Brian Evans is a funny dude with some hilarious stories so couldn’t go wrong with him either. Quote
Demo Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 If I can have a coach as long as he wasn’t an IU coach, then that’s an easy one, Slick Leonard. If not, maybe Bill Garrett. That would have been an experience I would like to hear about. str8baller 1 Quote

mamasa Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Not Eli Holman!! You'd have to dodge potted plants the whole game.... Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
mamasa Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Serious answer is Joe Hillman- my uncle (great? once removed? IDK) Kirt Kohlmeier coached him in high school, would love to compare stories. Class of '66 Old Fart and Stuhoo 2 Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Ooh.... This is tough... Yogi is my age so I feel like that'd be an easy to do and feel like he'd see so much throughout the game. Zeller. My favorite Hoosier and just a year older than me would also be easy. Coverdale would be a really good one. Man the list though... Jared Jeffries, Dane Fife, Eric Gordon, TJD, Hulls, Guyton etc. Quit asking such hard questions.
