Yep. You get 4 maybe 5 draft picks over the course of 2 years and all the sudden recruiting hurdles start looking a little smaller against schools like Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky. This recruitment is huge for momentum in several ways.

He also called out a NYT reporter for giving details that the Mgbanko’s didn’t want out as they said they wanted the recruitment quiet.  So I would expect that slater will only release things the family wants out there.

If we had gotten Ledlum, highly doubt that Mgbanko would be considering IU.  Ledlum would have been here to play the 3 and Reneau the 4.  Mgbanko recommitted from Duke because he didn’t want to play the Marvin Williams type hybrid 3/4 getting less minutes.

Portal closes for people entering it.   Teams can sign kids that have entered the portal up until classes start.  Plenty of time even after the deadline

If MM waits till Memorial Day, likely all other higher transfer guys have committed elsewhere. So if we miss on MM and other top guys gone,  uh oh
