Hoosierfan1901 Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Seems like we will be waiting a bit for this one in my opinion, unless something drastically changes in the next couple of days Chris007 1 Quote
Banksyrules Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 St. John’s is my second favorite team (raised two blocks away from campus). That being said it pales in comparison to IU (better environment and academics). More NIL money is the only way we might lose out to St. John’s. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

If it was "locked up" and "done" then he'd commit, there'd be no reason to visit Tennessee or St. John's. 94Bulldog 1 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 I’ll admit I don’t know much about social media. But when I was young adding somebody to Facebook wasn’t even a guarantee you had met them. Much less that you would ever see them again on a regular basis. moyemayhem 1 Quote

Fortunately with the pace of baseball games now days I’ll have ample time to check texts and respond between pitches. When they all the sudden add Cliff, all our players, our operations coordinator, our staff, walk-ons, our incoming recruits and local college girls, there is a reason. he doesn’t follow anyone from Tenn., St John’s etc. if he was just following random people he would be following some of them too. But these players don’t do that. He also did it all in succession last night. Chris Ledlum follows 1162 people Quote

He’s only been to IU? You just said it meant something because he doesn’t follow a bunch of people but now you are changing the goal posts You want these follows to mean something which is fine but honestly there’s no evidence they do. Judging by those follows kid adds just about everybody he meets For Ware the follows probably did mean a bit more. But Ware also follows like 1/5 as many people as ledlum. Clearly not following everybody he meets in person. Quote
Hovadipo Posted April 11, 2023 Author Posted April 11, 2023 On one of these visits you meet everyone. From the head coach down to the student assistants and everyone in between. It isn't out of the ordinary to follow a bunch of people you just met. I certainly wouldn't chalk it up to a commitment. Many have been burned by that logic before. Me included. fyi.. staff starting to tweet some stuff too. Like they are excited again. Will see. All will be fine. Ware cancelled his Bama visit like a day or so after IU, granted he didn't have a week between visits either. I'm not saying Ledlum won't eventually commit, I'm just saying that it appears right now his mind isn't made up. When a recruit visits they'll meet Cliff Marshall, the players, etc so I wouldn't put much stock in that especially if IU has been his only visit so far. go iu bb and lillurk 2 Quote
Scotty R Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 I sometimes miss the day when you found out about your recruiting class in the newspaper the day after signing day. Today there is way to many social media and bloggers out there wanting to be the first to report news. It doesn't even have to be factual anymore gor a post to go out. The media use to have 3 confirmed sources before the could put out the news. Now a blogger can put something out there as fact but it is just his opinion. It is a sad day when people are trying to see who a recruit is following on social media to figure out where he is going to commit. It is just like trying to chart planes in coaching searches Tom White 1 Quote
