This article mentions a second player who was with the NBA Academy Africa was granted last month to play for Santa Clara.  It is turning into a slippery slope.

Some explanation of the NCAA’s thinking on the G-League situation. If I’m reading this correctly it sounds like any undrafted G-League players still within their 5 year post-HS window will be eligible to make the London Johnson move. Sounds a little murky as far as whether they were in the draft but undrafted vs a kid like Johnson who hasn’t gone through the draft process. 
The old days of the Fab 5 getting envelopes from Ed Martin seem positively cute now.

I don't like these changes, but at least these are stated rules. Ed and boosters like him are still the seedy underbelly of college athletics because that was bald-faced cheating. Nothing about it is romantic, quant, or cute.

I really want to believe this staff has a solid plan, and we're not just chasing talent and getting outbid late in the game, because that's what it feels like to me.

Clearly that’s been the path so far. Fortunately plan B, C, D are better these days than the Crean days that ended with Prillers and Aprils. But we’ve got to get our money up at some point.

Xavier’s insider doesn’t expect him to end up at Xavier and said strong IU vibes

I looked at UL 2025 recruiting class since a lot of people compared us with them

They have 4 in the class with these ranks according to ON3. This class is ranked 38th

7, 189, 248 and a foreign player

This class was signed before Kelsey had coached a game just like it will be with Devries

Right now we have a top 100 player and a chance at a top 50 player.

I also looked up Michigan's 2025 class

4 players class is ranked 35th

Players rankings 21, 59,301 and a foreign player not ranked

I am excited for Indiana basketball. 

We have a lot to look forward to in a short period of time.

Baylor on Sunday at 1pm. 

In 8 days on Nov 1: Karvala decision (reportedly IU lean) 

On Nov 9: Diane decision date... and Marquette in Chicago

Rabby apparently thinks we're now in the mix with Diane. He's taken all his officials except for Houston this weekend, and rumor has it we are outbidding Houston. CDD and Kenny were in to see him right before his Houston trip and on the heels of his OV with us. Who knows if he can create a bidding war in the next two weeks and how that will go.

If the fall HS class ends up as PAM (108 overall / #15 CG), Karvala (47 overall / #19 SF) and Diane (17 overall / #1 C) that would be a hell of a class.

And without overpaying for Thompson, Allmond, or Taylor who they prioritized. That would be an excellent job by the staff. And they'd likely have plenty of cash ready for the portal. IMO this season is going to be fun. Eager to see where things stand a year from now.
