People think some of today's color guys are bad. I'm watching a replay of the 1988 border battle between Illinois and Missouri on BTN. This color guy makes them ones today sound great

I think that is a UI broadcaster. Man the talent level on the floor is so much better than what we are in college today.

I’m taking my dad to the Kennesaw State game Friday. It’ll be the first time he’s ever watched IU in person. Anyone have any restaurant recommendations to make this trip even more special?

If you are open to moving away from the Kirkwood area, my wife and I are fans of Feast.  Nice farm-to-table, locally sourced ingredients, etc. spot.

Unfortunately, the Irish Lion has been closed over winter break for the past several years.

Still lots of other good options around the square and on Kirkwood.

I like Nicks because it is IU through and through.  Lots of IU basketball memorabilia and a good place to stop before a game or after.  It will definitely get you pumped for the game after going there, IMO

BuffaLouie’s is another great spot for IU memorabilia plus great burgers and wings

I always seem to be pressed for time when trying to eat before a game. With a 6pm tip if you wanted to hit buffalouies or Nicks before the game what time would you think we should show up at the restaurant?

I’ve never had a bad meal at Malibu. Moved away, but get back there almost every time I visit. Always consistent. 

Cajun Ribeye never disappoints. Solid up and down the menu, and good wine, beer and liquor selection.
