cthomas Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I looked at the Iowa board a couple of days ago and they seem pretty confident of a win. They have respect for Penix but not much else. This game will tell us a lot about our team. Win this one and I think we are on the way to a big year. Lose it and the questioning will begin again. Iowa is a program that I have always thought we could be. Consistently good, occasionally great. To be that program we have to beat that program. Matthews The depth here is just really friggin’ impressive. I can’t see anywhere that we aren’t legitimately fine going at least 2 deep, even with the specialists. Not every position on the OL has a no-brainer back up, but a lot of those 2nd stringers can plug and play multiple positions. If we have to go to a 4th CB beyond 2, 3, and 23 it could get iffy. The transformation of the DL in the past couple of years is insane. Between the DE, DTs, and Bull, every single guy listed on this depth chart would’ve been a legit contributor as far back as my IUFB fandom goes. Quote
