I don’t remember where I saw it first, but there’s an expectation that the assistant coaches will all be announced at the same time (likely next couple of days). No confirmed names but speculation based on talk inside the department.

Timing makes sense. Lewis just ended his season. They should know by now if it's him.

I’m anxious to see if Lewis and Fife would actually come together. You would think one of them would be in line to be the takeover coach after Woodson, but wouldn’t both of them want that spot if they came?...for that reason I could see Turner being one of the assistants, but who knows. Would be more than fine with any of those 3 knowing that one of them would for sure be Lewis or Fife.

I think we get one of Lewis/Fife. I’d prefer lewis but I’m good with Fife too. Then add another great recruiter like Cohen and that’s a pretty damn good staff

From what I've read/seen/understand, Lewis might be more offensive minded, while Fife more defensive minded. Does that seem correct?

Seems correct to me. With Fife you are already in on a few of the top HS players in the midwest.

I know my grandparents would be extremely happy to see Fife come to IU. They are both alum and are the reason I’m so into IU basketball. Once they got to the age where they couldn’t travel, they stopped going down to Bloomington for games but then got season tickets at IPFW when Fife was the head coach there since it was close so they could root him on. They got special seats and he talked to them after just about every game. Pretty cool

Rabby just said he thinks a Hunter, Fife, and Lewis staff is under consideration. Doesn't know if it will happen though.

I would love to have either Fife or Lewis, or both... 

I think we have a better shot with Lewis..I not sure what Fife would gain from the move.(?) He's already sitting in a pretty good spot with an aging Izzo, plus closer to home for him, correct?... am I missing something that makes this move more attractive for Fife? Sorry if this has already be discussed.

Seems to make much more sense for Lewis, if only to get away from Cronin (I just haven't ever liked Cronin for some reason)
