I thought the Matta/Eels connection and that TM was at the game when May broke his arm in 75 was kind of cool.

We'll finally find out if an Indiana guy can really save Indiana Basketball or if this program is truly dead.

His staff will tell a lot about his confidence in recruiting. 

Players currently in the portal staying in the portal and leaving will tell a lot as well honestly.

What IU team did you watch this year? There was zero 4 out motion going on.

Even if you're going to argue that the offense "looked 41-ish," (hit or miss on when I'd agree with that), we weren't executing with any motion at all. We were mostly just standing around.

When Race was injured we ran 4-out. Don't sit here and tell me we didn't run it at all this year.

When our offense collapsed and we went small with subs, it was 4-out.

They love it. I haven't found anyone that I know and trust who doesn't love it

I think I recall reading that Chris Reynolds said he wasn't necessarily a fan of the Archie hire. I wonder -- had he gotten the AD job instead of Dolson, who would he have picked?

The vast majority of HSN is more than fine with the hire.

My favorite part of the press conference was him talking about his 6th grade teacher helping him go to Bob Knight’s basketball camp. 
 

High school kids might not know the name Mike Woodson, but he’ll be able to go into any living room in the country and relate to the kids he’s talking to. For many recruits, his story growing up is their story too.

No it won’t. Players come and go all the time when a coaching change occurs. If they go, they go. Just as Woodson wants to be at IU, you want players who want to be at IU too. Quit playing Chicken Little. Your schtick is way past old already.

His ability to recruit the teams own players coming back will give us a sign of his recruiting abilities, stop. He said he would beg for them to stay. Let's see how good he is.

But based on his answer, I’m not sure he will beg all of them to stay. I think that will depend on if he thinks they are going to fit into what he wants to do.

Woodson has done a lot of things that many college coaches have not and never will do. There's a lot of stories and experience there that could really set him apart from the competition.
