It is a blessing that his heart has always been in Indiana.

 

We're more or less halfway through the conference season and the #1 ranked defense - IMO that speaks volumes to what Woodson has, is, going to do.

The team that played OSU, Purdue the last 30 minutes and Wisconsin the first half absolutely can.  Team just has to put it all together.  They do appear to be doing that.

When you listen to him in pre/post game interviews, he just sounds like a guy who is confident and completely in control of what he is doing. Given his background and experience, no one is going to rattle or intimidate or get under his skin. I like that in a coach.

Woodson was a great shooter. He scored 48 points before there was a 3-point shot. He must get frustrated sometimes by IU's shooters of today.

Recently, I was thinking about what a refreshing change it is to hear opponents simply criticizing IU instead of hearing condescending nicknames like "Clappy" or "Lil' Arch." It's nice to have a coach who's actually kind of respected.

They are gold. He was also an offensive threat from everywhere on the court as opposed to guys that can only shoot 3’s or guys that can only take it to the rim.
