My opinion doesn’t matter, and you all know it already. I’m happy for those that are happy. I’m a fair weather fan for the first time in my adult life going forward. We will see how this works out.

lol. Well, I wasn’t a fair weather fan……I’m still as die hard as ever.  But…..

We. Are. Due!

4 thoughts:

1. The hire an IU guy crowd gets their wish. They will be right or we can stop this rhetoric finally. Granted it’ll cost me 4-6 years of my life.

2. Thad Matta angle is certainly interesting. Seems like a positive no matter how it goes. It’s odd for Matta to agree to. Therefore, Probably getting overpaid. Can he provide ROI? Let’s see.

3. IU isn’t a blue blood anymore. It’s been up for debate for a while. This question is answered.

4. Probably a 6-8 year hire at best. Another chance at a premier coach at that time. Or more likely it’ll be the same old, same old. Maybe a coach in waiting situation if this group can be successful. Geez.

This take wasn’t well liked at the time.

Didn't say it was. Honestly, I laughed when I saw that.

Yeah it's so weird how quickly this has fallen. I didn't like the hire at first but tried to have hope, as with any new hire. First 2 years gave glimmers of hope but looks now like it was just one of the best players in school history covering a lot of holes.

There. That's better.

I hated this hire. Tried warming up to it like I always do. The couple of big recruiting wins and the focus on top level talent was enticing to me.

His first 2 years definitely an improvement on Archie Ball but then again how much of that was TJD maturation in retrospect?

Gut instinct was right but I was always willing to give a guy a chance. Heck, I actually like Woodson the person. I really do.

But seeing Hurley and other coaches absolutely competing at their trade makes me jealous each and every game. Woody is just lost in the current basketball landscape.

Don’t get me wrong , I think he can coach but I know him through the Knicks.  I don’t think he has the energy to recruit.

Edit: last time I heard recruiting is important.

We are such an embarssement. I’m so glad that the previous athletic director hired other great coaches. We’re obviously dealing with someone who can’t objectively evaluate coaches.

lots of vindication here

I’m not watching. I’ll look at the box score, but that’s pretty much it. Going to watch IU basketball used to be fun, but all of you feel it. There’s just something wrong with the program.  Yeah he might succeed but why are we always settling  and get gaming chances ?

I was wrong here. I did watch.
