I feel like it was said on this board a while back that Beard and Pat knight are actually really close friends. So regardless of what Bobby may have led Beard to believe, his friendship with Pat may outweigh it. Not exactly sure who said that here. Does that ring a bell to anyone else?

Actually, I believe Beard has said that. Since he's been so prominently this week I've watched and read a few interviews with him. I believe I heard him say that he and Pat are close friends.

So who on here still wants tony Bennett? He has won big but also has had some major let downs. Style of play is insanely boring i can't decide if it would work better in the big 10 or far worse. He just doesn't excite me as much as some other potential candidates.

Please, no more packing D and slow tempo offense. I get that Beard's teams don't exactly have fast paced offenses, but hopefully he learned to adapt. If the 87 Hoosiers had the ability to run against UNLV with a similar motion offense,  adjustments can be made. The talent level he could attract to Bloomington would be quite different.

So from reading around it looks like Woodson is a serious candidate. I might throw up.
Stop reading. Something I'll never tell my children but at this point man nobody knows what's going on. Even our most connected people don't know. Let it play it's course before vomiting

You’re right. Just hoping we can get someone that brings us to the top and reading that just made me realize how far we’ve fallen if it happens

Amazing. Dick Vitale manages to be super annoying even in a tweet.

I was on this website non stop the past few days. Today? I’ve checked it maybe 4 times.

My own fault for getting too excited and putting too much fate in Brad ******* Stevens. But man... I thought the timing was perfect for both parties.

Dolson could strike gold. His first year in the big boy chair but he’s been around the game. I’m going to trust him but I’m not too excited. This is our future of Indiana Basketball clearly. History has taught me that it won’t pan out to what I want it to be (6th Banner).

Ugh.

Chris Beard hands down but if he's not interested, I like Beilein as long as he'd help us on his successor. I can see Beilein possibly has 5-6 years in his tank; he hires one of IU former players (Fife, Lewis, or Cheaney) as his top assistant and groom him to become the next coach after him. That to me would be a pretty good mid term and long term plan.

Seems like Oats is locked at Alabama at this point; I don't mean he's not going to move, but timing is just not right for him. For some reason, I don't feel comfortable with Drew. And hopefully Dolson is not considering any mid major coach this time.

Just googled on Mike Woodson, and I didn't know he is an assistant at Knicks. Intriguing prospect, but I don't know anything about him as as a coach. Does anyone here know?
