Peegs also just said it’s possible all the sourced information has been false to basically hide a surprise hire. The point is that he doesn’t know what’s going on.

Nobody knows what’s going on. But I know this is that is going on. 
 

That seems a bit of an oxymoron, no? Was he told by a source? The same type that everyone else uses?

Let’s assume I don’t understand his contract and stuff. Is he waiting to get fired so he gets paid?  I know that is probably a lot of money but, I mean it seems an odd way of going about it if we both checked the I like you box.

Hope is high still here. Learned to not trust the media. Sounds like there are some reputable sources backing Stevens to IU and that’s what I’m going to go with...skepticism only due to last Friday and being so disappointed lol

Not sure if anyone’s watching the game but Jay Williams talked during halftime show about how Tatum is MVP caliber, Brown is good and he thinks it’s a coaching issue with Brad Stevens falling on deaf ears. National media starting to say BS has lost the Celtics.

That’s a good question. I wish we could see his contract. Maybe Danny told him he would fire him after the first loss after the trade deadline to get a new voice and make a run. Knowing Brad wants to come to IU.

Jay’s wife is an IU grad. He’s on the Brad to IU train.

Why would he want to fire Brad? Most pro coaching contracts are fully guaranteed, so they’d owe him whatever they extended him to last year, when they could just let him walk and go to IU? Not trying to piss in any Cheerios, but that doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah you’re right. I guess Brad doesn’t want to leave during the season? I don’t know what the holdup is if we both want the same thing.

I have the same question but I also have a guess.

As we know, Boston has struggled this year. Injuries, underperformance, bad luck, the whole thing. Even the best nba coaches have a shelf life. Ainge knows it, Stevens knows it. They probably wouldn’t fire BS under normal circumstances. But they like him, maybe a shakeup would help, and if they know he’s interested in the IU job, maybe everyone gets what they want if the C’s fire BS: fresh voice for them, clean break for him. No accusations of “quitting on the team,” etc.
