JPCIVOP Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I'm wondering: why does McDermott have such good odds in the IU Coach Betting Market? Is he due for a contract extension too? With Brownell, he seems like one of the last ones who can leverage this coaching search for a raise/extension.
Popular Post Home Jersey Posted March 14 Popular Post Posted March 14 I'm not 100% up to speed on the details of Wade's allegations, but from what I am aware of, I can get over them much more easily than Beard's issues. At this point, hope they're talking to him at least. RaceToTheTop, pumpfake, OKHOOSIER and 5 others 8
Papacap Posted March 14 Posted March 14 The entertainment on this thread is next level. Someday, a sociology major will do their thesis on this coaching search. Something like Confirmation bias meets an information vacuum being filled with insider information. And it has been super fun to be part of. Hornsby Posted March 14 Posted March 14 More seriously McCollum seems perfect for a spot like Iowa where his D2 experience is probably great prep for recruiting and developing with fewer resources than your competitors. Not to say he couldn’t win at a higher level but if you’ve got to “moneyball” your situation he’s got a good pedigree. DeVries might too! But I don’t know if Iowa wants to eat that buyout. The type of guys mccollum would get don't require a ton of nil. Iowa seems perfect for him.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk RoadRage 1
Bowhunter Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Finally caught up. That was brutal! Will somebody with good intel please dm me? I need some Brad Stevens or other big names to ease my mind about possibly settling for Brownell. Scotty R and Mopladysman 1 1

Scott isn't nor can't do that. I have been saying this for a while. You're not "canning" Woody mid season to hire Brownell or Cronin. HoosierDYT, Chris007, Bowhunter and 6 others 9

He can mostly keep the roster intact. They recruit at the level he’ll excel at. They won’t likely win national championships but they will be Good Fran level which is solid. Indiana needs to make a statement. The conference is improving around us. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Ready for Brownell? SlammySammy 1

Popular Post AKHoosier Posted March 14 Popular Post Posted March 14 I am all aboard the Huss train if we strike out on our top targets like Stevens, May, Few, Donovan (lol). His resume is impressive, I think he's got a very high ceiling. Initially I wrote him off because I hadn't really heard of him, but he could be a major steal. monskisprodigy Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I don't see DeVries leaving WVU for Iowa. I think a strong argument could be made that WVU is a better job, unless he just really wants to go home and coach at Iowa. Also, is Iowa going to pay his buy-out, up his salary and have money for NIL? WVU could match anything thrown at him I'd assume. Now, for McCollum...makes absolute sense. thebigweave, CSP, OGIUAndy and 4 others 6 1
