I know the portal window closes early, but that doesn't mean players have to pick their new school by that date. Just means they have to enter by the said date, correct? I think Ware, Rice, Ballo all committed around mid-April. I'm not worried about a coach being late to the party. Again, I'll be shocked if this search goes beyond 48 hours after IU's season ends..unless its a CBB coach still in the NCAA's.

Even if we were getting a Alan Huss, McCollum type guy they are very, very likely playing in the NCAAs. (And I doubt we are). Any power 5 guy is a big name. They are all playing in NCAAS.

An NBA GUY? Maybe (Stevens-other). But that is not at all what Dolson described.

Someone missing the tournament? Highly unlikely.

That’s what I interpreted. I assume that McCollum would be in the running. But other than him, I honestly don’t know.

That’s why I am saying doesn’t make sense.  Would have to be out of left field or for someone not to coach the tourney which has never happened.

Yeah, Dolson said he’s looking for a winner. We pulling one from the Euro leagues?

Even McDermott, Brownell, Cronin type guys are playing. And we could get someone like them if we wanted.

There’s no way we made Woody step aside mid season to hire McCollum. No way. IMO, he’s probably on the list but no where near the top.
