I’d definitely take Self over Cronin but think the odds of Self are so astronomically low you may as well call it 0

I don't disagree. Plus, I don't think IU would protect him like Kansas has done from a compliance standpoint, and he knows that.

Things that make you go HMMMMMMM.   So if things are being done behind the scenes that folks are being asked to quiet down so there is less heat and smoke....that sounds like some things that maybe a big deal when all finished.  Otherwise there would not be a need to quiet down....

Fun with blind resumes.  

Coach 1 received 75% yes in the poll last week.  He is in his 21st year of D1 basketball.  He has a .680 win pct, made 13 NCAA Tournaments so far and will make the tournament this year.  He has been to one Final Four. 

Coach 2 received 8% yes in the poll last week.  He is in his 22nd year of D1 basketball.  He has a .683 win pct, made 14 NCAA Tournaments and will make the tournament this year.  He has been to one Final Four.  

Based on the survey, we evidently want more than winning out of our next coach. I would accept either of these 2 coaches, but neither are in my top 3 which are Stevens, May, and Bennett.  Any guess as to who they are without peaking at the survey?

I think it’s mostly downstream from big money donors. If the leakage is on the IU side (as seems to be the case) there are only a small number of possibilities, the others being whatever small number of athletic department staffers are fully informed and/or board/president and their staffs. But I don’t know that, it’s speculation based on how universities work.

Well, if I was in charge of squelching rumors, I would not even be stating anything on a message board. 

I do not put any weight on it until the fat lady does.  She has to step up to the plate.
