Refer back to the poll taken on this site…and Woodson was atrocious, but I also don’t think he’s as good of a coach. A whole lot more people would support almost any other coach than would support Beard. Beard would fracture the fanbase the way others wouldn't. Lots of people would be unhappy with some of the other names on the list but not to the same extent that they would be with Beard. 4 minutes ago, HoosierInParadise said: 5 minutes ago, Hoosier987 said: Listen…I get why people don’t like Beard, I’m simply saying that regardless, there are plenty of people here that would support him. He's won only about 54% of his P4 conference games. That's winning big? If he didn't have a connection to Knight, people wouldn't be so high on him. Beard isn't going to happen. LamarCheeks Posted February 15 Posted February 15 My prediction: We get Stevens ... ... in 2055 After turning us down six times in 30-plus years -- he agrees to make his long-awaited, much-anticipated return to the Hoosier state. "At 78 years of age, I realize -- I'm no longer a Masshole, and am ready to come back to Indiana and live out my childhood dream of coaching the Hoosiers," Stevens said in a press release. Before leaving, Boston throws him a massive party! Henryville Hoosier and theriverpilot 2

Hoosier987 Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I’m pretty sure we would all unite against Brownell. That would be an awful hire. Look at the Clemson message boards. They don’t care if he left. Some are even hoping we take him. Wow. That’s a disaster. Kentuckysucks, thebigweave, Iufan93 and 1 other 4

I don’t know what happened in the negotiations but it always seemed like this was a horse trade to me and in exchange he got the right to pay any termination fee in payments as low as $1M a year; those two things were added to CMW’s contract at the same time.
