yeah, my point was that no one will believe any insight that isn’t what they wanna hear. I’ve been saying for weeks Stevens has been 100% out from the jump. He just doesn’t wanna leave the Celtics for IU. Period.  Of course it makes total sense, because leading the Celtics organization is a better job than coaching at IU, but no one buys that someone may know it for a fact because cognitive dissonance has a stranglehold on this board.

You may be correct that Stevens won’t be IU’s next coach. But I disagree with how dismissive you are about the value of the IU job vs. running the Celtics. It’s not cognitive dissonance, it’s a point of view.

The issue is, none of this is dealing in “facts”. You thinking it’s a fact he ain’t coming shows you are just as bad as anyone thinking he will come is a fact. Actually, I haven’t seen anyone say that he is for sure coming, so you’re worse. You are either just trying to get people riled up, or you’re delusional enough to really believe you know something no one else does. Maybe both.
Also, your “insight” that the Celtics job is better than the IU coaching job is subjective. He may miss coaching. Could be that simple. Or, he may want to be known as the man who brought IU back to blue blood status. So, continue to feel like you need to save people from their delusions on a free message board where most are just passing the time until we know something and having some fun in the meantime.

Ted Lasso is trying his hand at basketball? You guys are really beating poor Old Fart up with all these trips down to the well to pick up more bandwidth. Perhaps the mods should invest in a bandwidth mine and send anyone banned there for hard labor.

Brownell is 0% chance.  There’s no way IU hires him.

Dude has Clemson rolling in the ACC and has done terrific with NIL and team building. I would take him in front of most of these second tier coaches plus he’s a Hoosier and would represent with pride home state pride.

Unfortunately Tucker was a bad fit for this current roster. Woody LOVES the midrange despite its analytics and so does Tucker.

He’s ok at that, kinda, maybe.

But you have to be layup level accurate for it to be a good shot. Otherwise take the 3 pointer and he’s awful at that.

Combine that with a roster of one 3 point shooter and you have bad chemistry.

A good coach could have got Tucker to use his height and athleticism to be a playmaker going to the rim instead of settling for crappy shots all the time.

Idk for sure

Best answer yet. In all essence the realistic top 10 to 15 remain Schrödinger's cat - each candidate is our next coach and isn't -  yes there's obviously different levels of probability but honestly at this stage and the 'close mouthed' nature of the search I'd say the probability amplitude depth has so many variables that we are discussing just realistically the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate then really doing much in the way of eliminating possibilities. Either way I enjoy it - but am very skeptical of any 100% claims either way.
