It’s a Twitter troll with 1k followers trying to get some clicks. He accomplished his mission.

He’s not a journalist but he’s also not just making things up. People post lots of obviously meaningless tweets in here and I don’t say anything, you could try that! This one isn’t even meaningless ;)

I’ll give that a thought, but since this is a free message board, I think I’ll post whatever I want to. Thanks for the advice though.

Does 22 years make it that much better? Wowza.

Absolutely laughing you didn't comment on only having 1 or 2 capable title winning teams.

If you're aiming for a guy that's had much more than that over his career you might be carrying borderline unrealistic expectations because there aren't many of them out there, let alone many of them who are also looking to switch jobs.

Understanding, however, everyone has their own interpretation of 'capable'. Yours may be different than mine and that's alright.

I posted a question in a similar vein on HSN. Basically I asked, if we hire a sitting college coach would we prefer

A. A deep March run to build up his profile for future recruits, but we wait longer

B.  He loses early, but we get him early to start portaling.  With this we potentially hear about his poor performance in March ad nauseum

I 100% quoted the wrong post on this response.

Why would Cronin even entertain leaving the Blue Blood UCLA for IU?  UCLA has a rich history of athletes and donors and their NIL potential is waiting to explode, with (in my opinion) larger potential than ours. Cronin being a Midwest guy is the only reason I can think of why he would even want to leave but even that is wishful thinking. He has never to my knowledge mentioned being enamored with the IU job like Pearl or Beard. He’s not a former IU or Indiana guy like Stevens, May, or Alford.

it would be very similar to Self leaving  Kansas for IU. I don’t see it even remotely happening.

McDermott who someone on here said he needs to stay at the mid major level is currently coaching on FS1 in a sold out Madison Square Garden against Rick Pitino for first place in the Big East

If nothing else McDermott would make IU fun to watch again.

Early loss.  A deep March run increases the chances of his school ponying up to keep them.
