Thinking pass on $60 for 100 proof, which is Barrell Foundation's lower offering instead of cask strength.  I will get 4 Roses Single Barrell.  Thanks, though.

I don’t like mine super hot, it’s a personal preference. I get it though for sure. Sweet spot for me is like 95-110 proof.

Why not buzz?

I would be alright with him but not a huge fan of his. To me it seems like he might wear out his welcome since he has been job hopping ever 5-6 years

I mean he’d be the highest paid coach in basketball. That comes with whatever expectations Duke, KU, and UCONN have these days

Well Duke has had 5 titles and Kansas 2 titles in last 25 years. Saying Brad can get a title or two in 25 years isn’t that crazy. Less crazy than saying he will be out catch in 2025 lol

Wouldn’t that depend on the expectation that people set for him
Honest question, if Brad actually became the head coach, what expectations would realistically set for him?
Ranked every year and sweet 16 every year or banner year every year.

I'd say expectation for the next coach, Brad or someone else, should be ranked in the top 25 and competing for the conference title every year. Wouldn't say top 3, top 4, etc. Too many variables to be that prescriptive IMO.

Understand there will be good years - where you win the conference and make a run in March - and other years where you're building or "down" and maybe bounce early in March or underachieve in B10 play. Over a 4 year period, you're probably entitled to one down year and should have one "good" year. Context is important though... if there are obvious red flags, cut bait when it's clear it won't work out. Equally, with as big of an NIL budget as IU provides, etc. fans should expect to see results quickly from the next coach IMO. Year 1 or year 2 need to be good as in competing for the B10 title and ideally a second weekend in March.

But for your criteria you said you wanted to be relevant again and compete for conference championships and make the tourney before we go for national titles.  Buzz would come in and compete for conference titles and make the tourney.  He has done it at every stop.  3 straight tourneys at Virginia tech is impressive.   The dude is a grinder and has a love for the history of college basketball    Even if he isn’t the guy to get national titles he would be the guy to make this program an actual basketball program and leave it better for the next person who could take them to the next step if Buzz couldn’t.   I personally think if he was at IU that he would be able to lead IU far in the tourney

I guess he reminds me of Crean to much, just feels like a salesman to me

Yep. Buzz, McDermott and Cronin all fit that description much more neatly than McCollum. McCollum is basically a lotto ticket candidate - you could nab yourself one of the best coaches, but it could also not work out here.

I am a big fan of his and personally would be excited about the hire, but don't think the timing makes sense for IU in all likelihood this time around. Because exactly as Scotty R rightly said, we should prioritize consistent P5 success in this next hire.

Competing for a conference title and top 3 seed every year would probably be what I say. A single elimination tourney can be very flukey but I’d want us in the mix every year. This would just be for Brad because i think he’s that good of a coach and with NIL you can truly build whatever team you want

Agreed. And if you set those expectations for Brad, with all our NIL and resources, I’d say ranked top 25 all year wouldn’t be too much to ask. And making the tournament every year and having more tourney wins than losses after 3/4 years. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for for him or any other BIG hire

Old Forrester 1920

Wild Turkey Rare Breed

both $50-55.

Those two and a cheaper big bottle from Costco for mixed drinks, and you’ll never need to buy anything else.

Just my opinion.
