Interviewing Beard would actually give me some confidence in Dolson for once. When you have a great coach begging for the job, you gotta at least meet with him.

If we were an NBA team or a minor league team this would make sense.  However, we are the flagship University of the state.  The IU basketball coach will be one of the most visible individuals representing the university.  His past actions matter.  Beard will not be hired by IU.  There are other qualified candidates without the baggage.
