No wonder all the elites believe they are significantly grandiose who are involved in decision making…..when they look at all the posts on these kinds of platform threads and the importance they are to posters, media, all kinds of people, and in their minds it’s time for another…. Big Pay Raise

And when Boston falls on their face to end the season there will be a good amount of pressure to post-mortem it and make effective changes. Come home to a hero's welcome.

With all of the extensions they've made, they don't have room to make changes.  They are pretty ride or die.

Well watching UCLA some more... Nothing secures not wanting Cronin much more.

Cooling big time on Cronin and warming / heating up on the idea of Collins .

I think he would kill it with IUs resources . If he were to get it maybe he would bring KJ Windham (Ben Davis HS) back home with him . Just another hard nosed Indy guard (Conwell , Pack and others )

The Coach Cig and Woody hires tell me Dolson isn’t worried about age.

I think Dolson is only really looking at 4-6 year windows.

I want a upper 40’s lower 50’s guy myself but Dolson getting another 60 year old wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

Been thinking the same since the beginning. I think if a coach like Few or Pearl want to come, O think Dolson will hire them before taking a 40 year old. It’s a guaranteed good stretch for a coach of Few and Pearls caliber. And then do it again.

It is our solemn duty to discuss Brad Stevens as the next IU coach every four years.
So if he comes here, we should maybe only give him 4 year contracts at a time so we can discuss his re-hire every 4 years. Just let him know on the front end that it's a tradition for the message board fan base. Think he'll go for it?

I'll be the heretic on this one and say that IF we hire Brad Stevens - and I'm highly skeptical - we will be doing this again in no more than 5 years.  IMO he's a man who needs a challenge and will get bored being back on the sidelines as a college coach.  In some respects, I view him as a turnaround specialist.  He's the guy that goes in and cleans up the last guys mess and then moves on and in Brad's case likely back to the NBA.

So, Brad would be a bridge hire?

But I could see that as a real possibility.

If not, Brad, I could really get behind a young coach that could create their own culture here over the years and someone with a good personality and a great basketball mind and give them all the resources they need to cook..

I know it would be risky but at this point, I don’t really care, but I could get excited for possibly a Bucky McMillan or an Alan Huss type hire.

As long as he’s successful when here and trying to win championships I don’t think it would make him a bridge hire in my eyes.

Larry Brown was at Kansas 5 years before going to the pros. Ranked every year, good seed every year, and a national title. Is that a bridge hire or just a really good hire?
