im not saying this is what happened at all because frankly i have no clue, but nick saban said he’s not going to Alabama 13 days before Alabama announced him as the next coach. Is the same thing happening here, probably not, but call me delusional I hope so.

I know you all think im full of it and that’s ok, I probably would too, but those are my thoughts.

Woody was a national champion?  Maybe I am misreading that.

I could live with Cronin.  I've mentally prepared for that outcome.

Yeah, while he doesn’t “excite” me I’d be foolish to not be happy with what he’s done at UCLA. A F4 and two sweet 16s in 5 years is pretty good, and one of those seasons was the COVID cancelled tourney.

Man I just can't get 100 percent behind any other candidate behind stevens. I will support whoever the new hire is but I am getting a sick feeling it will be some b grade name. We need a big name or bust! Reason I believe the Steven's hype was because I was praying dolson passed on may to get stevens this year! I was hoping he wasn't that dumb! I am cooled some on may now because I have seen him at michigan! He is good and has been impressive so far but also not elite. I know way to small of sample to base anything on. I am really just saying if he leaves already and comes here and fails him and iu look like major clowns imo

There are lots of good candidates. Just have to convince yourself of that.

Im plenty ok if Dolson doesn’t prioritize “winning the press conference”. Stevens is the grand slam but there are still plenty of home run hires out there.

Don’t think you are. I take NOTHING as fact or lies. Just opinion and  information . I say to Chris 007 and all others to keep bringing it, I’m intelligent enough to make my own deductions. Only time will reveal the next Coach.

I will say this. It’s no secret that I’m  huge Steven’s fan and have been when it all started 4 years ago. With that being said, I’m going to choose to believe there is still a chance and no, I’m not crazy or delusional. 
The odds are against us because of the way it happened the last time, this time just seems different. 
The “elephant in the room” is the one tweet from Goodman stating the ONLY quote from Steven’s saying “I thoroughly appreciate being a Celtic and love the people I get to work with every day,” Stevens told @TheFieldOf68. This is the ONLY thing the various media outlets  have used to dispel Brad NOT coming to IU.

This may very well true and accurate. If so, then we just move on. 
However, that statement also leaves you wanting more detail. It’s implied that Brad told someone verbatim, that he is definitely not a candidate for the IU coaching opening for next year.

There is nothing posted where he was quoted saying anything close to that. IMO, this just says, “Guys, leave me, my family and my team alone right now, I work for the great Boston Celtics. I want to enjoy the All Star Break with my team!”
