I will say that if Brad is out / was never interested, then better that Dolson and Co. know now, before Dusty or other candidates sign extensions. Good to get this out of the way 4-5 weeks before the tournament starts.

Agree with this. It’s fun for us to speculate and I feel as down as I would if I played the lottery and lost. There are a lot of good coaches we can hire and can’t see Dolson making a bad hire.

I highy doubt Brad Stevens hopped on a phone call with Jeff Goodman to discuss.

I would bet Goodman reached out via email to Stevens/his reps and received a jargon-filled response and Goodman, barely knowing how to read - let alone be a "journalist" - grabbed the one line that you can take at surface value as a clear "No."

It's almost certain he's not coming, but I highly doubt there was a "normal conversation" between these two.

If Rabby is saying people at IU don't necessarily think this is definitive... lol, ok. Scott better be working on plans B-Z.

I never would've expected any announcement prior to the season ending anyway.

Strap in folks, we have a long way to go before getting anything straight from the horse's mouth.

I really hope this what happened but I am no going to hold my breath on that theory

People *constantly* profess to have insider information and mislead literally hundreds or thousands of people for either kicks (Isaac) or to score weird internet cred (Chris), and *I’m* the bad guy for pointing it out??

That’s how it works here.. they love trolls and hate the people that call them out

It's not any poster's fault that people overreact to them sharing what they're hearing. It could be from some rando janitor.

If people get overly excited about an anonymous guy posting something he heard, that's their own fault.

Welcome to the internet.

People are aware of their track records and can make their own judgements on what to trust or not. We're fanatics on a message board, we're going to post and talk about all kinds of ridiculous **** particularly because our basketball team blows right now.

Dogpiling on people for being "wrong" is lame.
