Also, I just want to remind everyone here that none of this money is coming from any of our pockets. I don’t care if they pay someone 12 million, a yacht, and a rental property on the moon. If we get our guy we get our guy and the money will be of absolutely no consequence in the long run. Who cares if we have to pay double or triple for someone? This is the benefit we get from being IU and having folks willing to pony up, where other schools may not.

There is circulating info everyday during a coaching search. Doesn't mean the actual story has changed much if at all but there is always something circulating. Brad not wanting to coach in college basketball is from a convo 2 days ago not today so not news today just 2 days old that was leaked to me today

Appreciate your post.  I do not know what to make of it though.  Still, I will put on my thinking cap and try to understand it as if it is gospel.

Seems logical that Stevens would say something like he would not be coaching in college for the foreseeable future. That is his official stance...I can see why.  He has a job.  One hardly ever would announce to anyone that he is seeking any other job.  It also depends on how one defines foreseeable future. 

And the statement that it would be IU if he did could be interpreted in at least two ways.  Positive...IU!  Or, kind of a platitude and a courtesy...sure IU, yeah, sure...(meaning thanks but no thanks but I will be polite.)

At my age my foreseeable future is my next breath./s

Taking a step back..the post makes me wonder about how much Dolson or anyone else is actually talking to a somewhat political group about potential coach hires.  Usually that kind of thing really is kept close to the vest.  For instance, how long before the hire did we know about Woodson or Miller or Crean?

The Dusty May part of the post is interesting and passes more of a smell test because it is my understanding that the AD probably has consultants and/or emissaries making contacts with the representatives of other coaches.  

Still, it is fun to see the post, and this is not meant as me putting it down in any way.  It ain't over until we say it's over. 

I will be sending a couple of made men over to take your sworn statement.

Schedule makes sense. UM plays Sunday and then not again until Friday, so likely to be a travel day/ day off

Btw I am not Issac Torres to BoT nor is he the guy I spoke to. Just inside joke with a buddy of mine who knows him. And BoT are people like us and people love to share news with their obsessed friends. Plus 99% of stuff is made up garbage so the truth is always hidden by all the non truth. Which is also why I am comfortable sharing my info since 99% of people won't believe me haha

Have to say this is the first time I have followed a coaching search ever ,as before the "king"  I was okay with the other coaches .I don't think I got fully involved with the mess that Crean had to take on .

I see all the candidates on all kinds of message boards or news articles .

Don't need a IU guy ( if they are anything like what we have now ) just want to get back to winning games that are fun to watch ,have not watched any IU games since B4A  .  I just hope they look at more than 1-3 different people who could become the coach .

Have no insight, but being that Baylor is a private Baptist university and he and his wife appear to be devout Christians who are quite comfortable in Waco and Baylor I don’t see him wanting to relocate to Bloomington and a public institution. He’s been there a long time.

Ha. And I’m not blaming you or questioning what you are saying. But if I were on the board, I’m not saying **** to nobody. Not even my wife. I wouldnt want someone saying on some forum someday that I messed something up in the search.
