My concern is it usually takes him 3-4 years to develop the talent at NW. Maybe he could get better talent and get them going faster at IU. I think our fans would be calling for his job after he lost to Penn St. in year two. Maybe it's me but his name is just kind of blah to me. I like Dusty better myself but I'm usually wrong because I really liked Archie.

Meh. Good coach and all, but a gamble.

I also don't want to go from complaining about how his team defenses grab and hold their opponents, to being forced to like it if he became our coach.

He also never had a Kenpom top 50 offense. I think they could be there this year but we'll see.

I think at this point I could talk myself into Shrewsberry over any of the other Tier B candidates if IU isn't serious about getting a program changer. I don't think Shrews has even begun to scratch the surface yet of his coaching potential, but he's always seemed like an NBA guy. Would need to hire a good defensive mind for the bench. I think shrews would bring over Markus Burton who I think is going to be a menace for 4 years and think Sisley and Mullins would commit within the week. Decent foundation to build on. 

Whether it be Schertz, May, or Shrews when the time comes, I think all could work here but none are the home run hire this program needs.

Probably so but I'm always one of the last ones to see it. Now some people see it before a game is ever played and just hope to be right. I try to stay as positive as I can for the most part. Even if it's just a glimmer

I like the idea of Schwartz at IU but not worried by DePaul. If he goes there, it’s not going to be hard to pry him from there.

The money must be dying off at UCLA.  From what we hear now Wooden was likely offering more than 300k decades ago!

Sucks for Indiana State that Schertz will not be there long term.  And Indiana State will go backwards to its form.  
Some guys are just winners and he is taking Indiana State from where it was to where it is and where it’s going until he gets a bigger job.  Plus he’s got some intriguing recruits and they are good coming in (Schertz is a coach that knows what he wants and creates a great team image…now you know it’s Indiana State)

Yeah other than going back to Chicago, that's a massive step back in every way. Fingers tightly crossed for Will Wade still.
