That's a good point about NIL. If Iowa is financially constrained to buy out Devries at $4M, how does that play to NIL. If I were a coach and school X has unlimited funds seemingly and School Y has very limited funds (in a harder place to recruit to as well) - the choice would be easy

But on the flip side, if McCollums heart and dream job are Iowa and he feels like he could win there, would he prefer that job? I could see it both ways. And I’m assuming Iowa nor Indiana fired their coaches without having some sort of preliminary conversations with these candidates (and others) realTomCrean 1
