If we don't make the tournament, we'll probably know who the next coach is by this Monday ONLY if they're not coaching in the tournament. If they are, then no announcement tor legit leaks until the new coach's current team is eliminated.

Honestly, if we have been turned down and are settling on Brownell.....let the King cook for another season and try again next year.....If not, I question Dolson capabilities and will say he got lucky with Cig....change my mind

No announcement or legit leaks will happen until IU's out of the tournament (assuming they get a spot in Dayton), which means Thursday at the absolute earliest. And that's only if the new coach isn't still coaching in the tournament. 
If IU wins in Dayton, then they'll play Thursday or Friday.
If they win the first round game (unlikely), they'll play Saturday or Sunday. 
We'll know who the next coach is by Monday unless their team is in the sweet 16.

Heck the king could go into the crown tournament and win his crown. It doesn't end til april 6th. If he cooks this could drag out while he gets crowned.

That scenario scares the crap out of me.  I cannot stand the thought of settling on Brownell.  At that point just say OOPS we made a mistake. Ya is the interim coach for a year and we will try again next spring LOL

If Dolson couldn’t even close McCollum over Iowa after months of back channeling and we end up with Brownell, that means the program is even more dead than people already thought.

Yep. If Dolson's two basketball hires would be Mike Woodson and Brad Brownell? 

That would not exactly be a stellar legacy.

If it's ole-what’s-eez-name we will forever know quinn kept us from hiring may last year just so his king could get that 4th year and cook.

Man, site owners are gun shy this time around or no one is talking to them at all - they've gotten so scared that aren't even making their own claims, they all retweet another journalist adding only 'Hot Board updated...'  - I'm not picking on any one site cause it seems the norm this time around for newspapers and for IU based sites. Hard to justify paying for any access (recruiting may be the exception a bit)

I get a lot of people were wrong before Woodson but it just feels like no one wants to be first - I guess with social media it's easier to collect receipts but have some cahonas.

Just lol at the thought of hiring Brad freaking Brownell. I don’t agree with it, but there’s at least an argument for McCollum. Hes young, he’s done extremely well in D2 and is 30-3 his first year at Drake. It’s unknown how he’d do at IU, but he’s won big at the levels he’s coached at. 

Brownell would just be the ultimate “this program is dead and I suck at my job” hire by Dolson. He’s been incredibly mediocre for 15 years in the ACC. There’s just nothing there to rationalize it.
