What would be his motivation for coming to Indiana? Because we can pay him a lot? I don't have a lot of interest in Billy D.

I understand what you are saying here but this is why from the outside looking in, people think our fanbase is crazy. We talk ourselves into questioning even Billy Donovan as a candidate good enough for our coveted position....ugh

Good point! But you never know what some guy would find to be a fascinating challenge.

I certainly don't think that Donovan is our guy, but I think it's more likely that it's Donovan than it is:

• Chris Beard,
• Todd Golden,
• Nate Oats,
• Bruce Pearl
• Rick Pitino,
• or Will Wade,

and all of them have gotten some real debate on this board.

I don't agree with that. I think every person you named other than Pitino is more likely, and I think everyone you named I would take over Billy D because I don't think we'd be more than a big paycheck for him. No way he's signing up for this grind after coaching in the NBA.

I don't know if today will be quiet, full of "leaks" that don't illuminate or really tell us anything at all or just the continuation of the contentious debates on the general merits of various mid-major coaches but I appreciate any Danny DeVito GIFs...the man is a national treasure.

I no longer have context for this type of comment because I've spent maybe 20 minutes on here the last two days because work and middle age are stupid. 

But a quiet day would help me catch up, not to mention keep me level. This week is champ week, boys high school regional, opening weekend for travel ball, and of course the ongoing epic of another IU search szn!
