Thanks for passing that along, interesting to hear from someone who is acquainted even if vaguely. Personally I prefer a moderate amount of psycho in my HC, so I’m very down for a guy with a chip on his shoulder.

Works for Cig.

Worked for RMK.

Seems to work for successful IU coaches.

Gregg Marshall would be cheap.

Dolson pushing the money and fandom to football over basketball is a chess not checkers move for the athletic department.

Brownell would make $4million+ for the next few years at Clemson, so if we're looking to be budget friendly McCollum would be a far better fit.

Will say this: When his name 1st popped up I reached out to a friend who’s a D1 Asst Coach in my neck of the woods who’s actually vaguely acquainted with him, Missouri  basketball is a very small world, and while he thinks he’s really good he also thinks he’s intense to the point of being a little bit nuts(his word, not mine). So I’d always been a little cool on the idea. But I’ve seen no public evidence that he’s anything but just a conventionally driven guy. He’s certainly no Dan Hurley. That still feels like a big step up, but his coaching talent is unassailable.

Side note: for people who like to complain about Woody’s “arrogance”, McCollum literally told Grant McCasland, a really successful coach, that his offense sucked and was too easy to guard. That sounds kind of arrogant. People down with that?

You have no clue the extent to which I am down with that. Put your balls on the table and then show why you did it.

I'm talking about the support from donors and fans.  Tank the basketball team and let football rise out of the ashes.

By my 2 minute research, Clemson is one of 6 teams in the top 25 in both offense and defense according to Pomeroy. Let’s bring Brad home.

Clemson has 4 double digit scorers on their team. They're all seniors so unless some of them have eligibility for a medical redshirt (I haven't looked) he's not bringing any stars with him. I've also read that it takes time for players to learn his system.

All things considered. Huss SHOULD do very well here. I’d be thrilled with Huss or McCollum.

I'm hearing all kinds of stuff but I was told yesterday morning rumors would be crazy this week. We'll see what happens.

Give it to me straight, doc. Can I keep clinging to my Stevens dream as of now?
