Popular Post HoosierAloha Posted November 30, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 30, 2020 I'm sticking with my Hawaiian shirt, kukui nut lei, and letting the boys hang for this game against Texas! Seemed to work great against Providence. Stromboli, MemphisHoosier, thebigweave and 7 others 10 Quote
JaybobHoosier Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Really hoping for another empty branch tomorrow of any visitors. It was nice getting to watch a good amount of the game at work :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierAloha, Naturalhoosier and mamasa 3 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 BTW, for when you tune in tomorrow -- Texas didn't get a new coach. That's really Shaka Smart. He just grew his hair out. Twitter is intrigued ... Whoozhers, mamasa, theriverpilot and 3 others 5 1 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Looking over the starting lineup for Texas to compare with our starting 5. Texas - Indiana PG: Coleman III 6'2" - Phinisee 6'1" SG: Ramey 6'3" - Durham 6'4" SF: A Jones 6'4" - Franklin 6'4" PF: Brown 6'9" - Thompson 6'8" C: Sim 6'10" - Jackson-Davis 6'9" Like with the game against Providence we'll need Jackson-Davis and Thompson to play big. Archie and the front line did a good job with some foul trouble late in the first half but Texas will have the size and athleticism. Jackson-Davis will have to play big and go up strong against the shot blocker Sims. If we get another heroic performance from Thompson we can get them in foul trouble. They do have size that comes off the bench but not much guard depth at all. Let's freaking go HOOSIERS!! Let's get this W and move to the championship game in the Maui Invite! thebigweave, mamasa, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
Southside Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Haven't really dug into TX, but watching them today, only Sims of the starters really impressed me, and he didn't shoot a lot. K. Jones off the bench looked good. Not sure if we can count on repeat performance like today from Race, but I'd love it if he did. I think TJD will need to step up IMO. I was pretty impressed today with Phin and Durham too. Race obviously was a beast. TJD was fine, but I expect more I think. The only thing that surprised me was that the bench, and especially the frosh, looked so anemic. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

The winners get the hell out of Asheville with 2 E's as soon as possible. I'm sure it's beautiful listening to Bill Walton most of my afternoon, but it's no Maui Deserthoozier, Bobman1 and thebigweave 2 1 Quote

Horrible to have the big/best games during the day, and loser bracket during prime time. AshEvillE is a pretty cool place to be honest. Not as cool as Maui I know, but still. Quote

incrediboy Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 It will be all I can do not to check the scoreboard while in physical therapy this afternoon. Knowing the DVR recorded the game, however, I hope I can refrain from knowing the outcome before I watch it. mamasa, JaybobHoosier and HoosierAloha 3 Quote

I hope this sparks an annual holiday tournament there. If fans were allowed and times were normal, I'd absolutely be in Asheville for a tournament IU was playing in during the fall. It's a really cool place. Southside, LIHoosier and RatpigHoosier 3 Quote
JaybobHoosier Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Excited for the game. I should be able to watch it in the background today. Hope we see the same effort as yesterday from our team! Good test for this team.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Surprised to see Indiana as a 2 point favorite right now. How often do you see an unranked team favored over a ranked team on a neutral court? Quote
