Only 3-10 on 2s end 0-2 on 3s so not a very good scoring effort but I really like him though. Has the body of a college player. He's had poor shooting nights but typically makes up for it with his rebounding and assists. Also, been pretty typical that he plays the entire game without any time on the bench. Really needs to work on his shot, but his unselfishness as PG is excellent. Duke will be silly again with Whitehead, Lively, Filipowski. Wow. Stuhoo Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 Jalen is completely dominating and running the show so far. Reneau and Evans have been the recipients. Reneau doesn’t jump off the page athletically, but he plays maturely for a young big. HoosierHoops1, lillurk, HoosierTrav and 2 others 5 Quote

From the games I have watched his role is facilitator for Whitehead, Mitchell, and Reneau. He gets the ball exactly where it needs to go and is a great passer. Pretty impressive in transition too. But I def would like to seem him be more assertive and score more. Hoosierfan2017 and lillurk 2 Quote

He had a quote in the after game presser that he had a finger issue so they had him focus on D and passing. hoosierfan6157, Hoosierfan2017 and lillurk 2 1 Quote

If you noticed the pic below your post, he’s holding the trophy and his middle finger on his shooting hand was taped up. Finger injury must have influenced his shot. lillurk 1 Quote

Was one of the leading scorers in the EYBL last year before losing his last event due to Covid. As you’d expect, most of his points came in the midrange and getting to the rim. They ran a lot of DHO’s with him and he also seems to have a fondness for facing up at the elbows and working to the baseline. I did find one game where he made 4 3’s, but that was really the exception. IUc2016 and lillurk 2 Quote
HoosierFan1994 Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 Super pumped for this kid. Love the way he pushes the ball up and down the court. I don't think he has the best freshman season ever but I can see him getting 8-10 PPG and 3 ast. I love how he was the leader on this team. That was a pretty stacked team. Yet he was the glue guy. I hope he can be that for IU. Also hope IU can get his buddy Malik. They had great chemistry together. I think Malik is a day 1 starter at the Power 5 level.
