Lawrence North vs Plainfield for the regional title.  At the half Plainfield led 16-15.   At the end of 3, LN led 31-30.  Final score was a 43-39 win for LN.  D.J. Hughes (Butler commit) was the main force for LN with 21 pts that included 8 dunks.  CJ Gunn 5 points, 5 rebs, 2 steals.

Gunn did not look too good. Lost his cool a few times and was not really noticeable out there. Hopefully just an off night.

REMINDER:  Today's semistate game will be aired at 9:00 on WHMB-TV for those who can get it.

Gunn had 9 pts. in this afternoon's semistate win over Bloomington South.   

No video but Gunn had a huge block on a Bomba 3pt attempt with South down 3 and 8.2 sec. left. 

Gunn hit this 3 to end the 1st Q

C.J. Gunn, along with his parents, had a chance to talk with new Indiana coach Mike Woodson on Tuesday. Lawrence North junior remains firmly committed to Hoosiers, his father, Christopher Gunn said.

Hopefully that and they were really impressed with Coach Woody

Gunn is 6’5” and maybe still growing. Super athletic with length I imagine that is a perfect fit with what CMW wants to do with switching on defense.

Really says a lot about Coach Woodson that Gunn is still firmly committed, imo. In the world of recruits/players changing their minds so often, it’s a good sign that he’s still on board.

CJ Gunn remaining committed could be a good sign about Armaan as well. Might also just be wishful thinking.

When CJ committed, his dad made so so many great comments about the history of the program and the way an IU player will always be a big part of the whole state.

Woody is a living part of that history, but with an NBA pedigree to go with it.

I think he has a ton of connections here in town. He remained close with his HS coach, Bill Smith, who like Woody was a high quality person. Woody brought him to Atlanta to help as an advisor and i am sure other coaches would appreciate his respect for his HS coach even after he hit the big time 

The extended Woodson family is still largely in Indy and very close.  One of his brothers/cousins owns a construction company in the city
