Duncomb looks a good two inches taller than Furst. Kaufamn looks to be the same size as Furst, with exponentially better athleticism. yogisballin 1 Quote

This seems like the same write up from rivals before Trey kaufman took a major leap. I expect Duncomb to make a huge leap the next time rankings come out. probably top 80. Awesome to see. Popular Post Uspshoosier Posted August 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 11, 2020 Bossi sums up rivals scouting of Indiana Elite in the first paragraph about Duncomb. He knew very little of him when he committed to Indiana. Which really means Rivals didn’t scout a top Indiana team for 2 seasons since Duncomb and Trey both played on Indiana elite last year. When I said rivals wasn’t in the gym last summer I wasn’t lying. Hard to rank top kids properly when you don’t put in the effort to watch them during the summer. Lol. Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2020 247 staff article titled: The 2021 Prospects We're Going To Bat For No. 63: Logan Duncomb, C, Committed to Indiana While I am definitely not the biggest advocate of old school traditional centers on the 247Sports team, it is easy to recognize the four-year value that Cincinnati product Logan Duncomb will have in college. More than anything, Duncomb is someone who has continually gotten better by leaps and bounds. He made a big jump from his freshman to his sophomore year, and then did it again from his sophomore to junior season. Now it is looking like Duncomb will do it again after a strong summer heading into his senior year. Given the fact that he is so well coached, has good touch, great hands, and is a physical and smart player, there is a lot to like about where Duncomb is, and where he is bound to be after a few years of college. It is very reasonable to think that Duncomb can be an all-league player and a multi-year starter before it is all said and done. While the value of a traditional center has been downgraded some, Duncomb should have significant value projecting forward to his time in the Big Ten. -- Brian Snow 323SGrant, Demo, Crimson and Cream and 15 others 17 1 Quote
Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 10, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 10, 2020 This is the kind of stuff you like to hear. From Brian Snow and an article captioned Who Could Out Perform Their Ranking as a Freshmen. Duncomb one of the 8 Snow discusses. The Big Ten is known for physicality in the half court and teams that use traditional low post centers. One player who fits in perfectly in the class of 2021 is Logan Duncomb. Headed to Indiana, Duncomb had an excellent summer, and also had a tremendous junior season. Currently ranked as the No. 63 player, it might not seem that Duncomb, who is 6-foot-9 with extremely long arms, would be in line for a huge freshman year, but he will have that opportunity. Down low, Indiana will almost assuredly lose Trayce Jackson-Davis, and then also Joey Brunk will be completing his fifth year. While technically Brunk will have the opportunity to return for a sixth year, he might decide against that. Even if Brunk does come back, the opportunity will be there in a big way for Duncomb. With his great length, toughness, and tremendous hands, Duncomb should fit right in with what Indiana does, and the minutes will be there for him to make a major day one impact. hoosierfan6157, taco corp, ElectricBoogaloo and 9 others 9 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Season opening win for Moeller 81-65 over Walnut Hills after Moeller led 44-39 at the half. Duncomb played 27 minutes scoring 21 pts. on 8-17 FG; 0-1on 3's; 5-8 FT; 9 Reb (6 Off); 2 Assts; 2 Stls; 1 TO. We've taken a look at his teammate '22 SG Evan Mahaffey and his stat line in 24 minutes was: 13 pts. on 4-4 FG; 1-1 on 3's; 4-5 FT; 4 Reb; 5 Assts; 0 Stls; 1TO. NOTE: Final score may not be precise as the stat site froze with 13 seconds remaining in the game but Duncomb and Mahaffey were already on the bench so their stats should be accurate. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 A great game to watch but not a good game for Duncomb and Moeller as Moeller suffers its first loss of the season 58 - 57 in OT to Lawrence North in the final game of the Forum Tipoff Classic. A foul called on Duncomb with 1.1 second left in OT put Avance on the line who hit the first and missed the second leaving Moeller just .7 sec. to score and they did not. Duncomb played the entire 36 minutes finishing with 13 pts. on 6-10 FG; 1-1 Ft; 9 reb; 2 asst; 2 blks; 1 stl; 2 TO. Evan Mahaffey also played the entire 36 minutes finishing with 9 pts. on 4-4 FG; 1-2 FT; 2 reb; 5 asst; 1 blk; 2 stls; 2 TO HoosierAloha 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Eric Bossi comments after yesterday's game: Four-star post player Logan Duncomb was able to give Indiana fans a preview of what he'll bring to the table for the Hoosiers next season. After getting off to a great start thanks to his aggressive play on the glass and in the post, he did fade some while scoring 11 points and grabbing around 10 rebounds. The takeaway here is that he looks much more mobile in person than he does on film and his lean/wiry frame is one that should be easy to build on in a college weight room.
