VO5 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 I want to be excited but I just can’t be. We’re in a lose-lose situation. Win and we get berated for being the “69th best” team. Embarrassing. Lose early and it’s even more embarrassing. Our 2 best players are gone and I’m betting on 2 or more transfers, so how much will this actually benefit us for next year? How many fans will fill up the hall, or will it be half empty? Just another nail in our blue-blood coffin. Iugradman 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 18, 2019 Author Posted March 18, 2019 Here's a novel idea. Since the high school careers for TJD and Armaan are over, let's get them officially enrolled and on the roster. Stuhoo, Hoosier Roots, hsrtxp and 3 others 6 Quote

Ryno6284 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 I always like to see one more IU game. I know NIT sucks, but lets just hope this will help the team/coaches going forward! HoosierHoops1, thebigweave, mdn82 and 3 others 6 Quote

I’m not going to fill this up with negativity so I won’t say much more after this, but really? Our women’s team has about 2% of the history/expectations of our men’s team. For the women’s team it’s a great accomplishment, for the men it’s a reminder of how far we’ve fallen and where we’re at. Comparing them is silly Iugradman, 323SGrant and Hoosier Guy 3 Quote

cleeter Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Let’s come out with the idea of winning it all, getting revenge against Arkansas perhaps along the way and winning would be a nice way to show the committee we should have been in over teams like Belmont. Plenty to play for, just depends on if you look at it that way or if players don’t care about NIT. Quote
hoosierdogg Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 40 years ago (1979), Hoosiers won the post-season NIT. The team Indiana beat for that championship - Purdue! Two years later, Hoosiers are NCAA champions! Deja Vu? Hoosier Roots, ALASKA HOOSIER and pumpfake 3 Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 I’m with VO. NIT means absolutely nothing. IU shouldn’t have even accepted the bid Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 That being said, might as well win it hoosierdogg 1 Quote
