I have missed seeing him coach lost interest in Indiana basketball when he was fired. Wish he would’ve fished his coaching career at IU. But over time I came to terms with it. Saw him come to Ball State and put on one of his speaking programs. He was so incredibly interesting and a joy to listen to. Most of my favorite sports memories involve his teams. Thanks  coach you was loved by many. RIP

Watching remembering Coach Knight on BTN. When they showed his return to Assembly Hall, I cried.

Me too man. Me too. Also I respected (ducks for cover) Izzo's recollection of coach.

Coach Knight was intense.  From the balcony seats one could see and hear him blasting someone on the court.

He forced the team to strive to do their best always.  Refuse to lose.

He never left a person with an impression.  It was more like an explosion.

Rude.  Crude. Shocking.  Demanding.  Brilliant.  Stubborn.

Truly very different.

Wow!  He was something else.  And then some.

I wonder if he is to be buried like he said.

When my time on earth is gone, and my activities here are passed, I want them to bury me upside down, and my critics can kiss my @$$!

Probably not, if near Bloomington Indiana.  One of the few times that he changed his mind.

This does not get enough awe. Coach got the IU job at 30 and not for 1 second did he have to grow into it. For comparison, Jon Scheyer got the Duke gig at 35 and spent the entire year looking dazed. No knock on Scheyer, that’s typical. RMK was just a Guy from the jump.

Someone mentioned on hoosier.com that there needs to be a statue sculpted and erected of Coach Knight. I totally agree and I LOVE the idea! It most likely will happen sooner than later, but I sure would love to see one right outside Assembly Hall as you walk in the main entrance. I'm sure there will be one inside Cook Hall. Here are a couple photos that I would like to see turn into a memorial statue...... JMO...

A victory net is draped around Bob Knight's neck after IU defeated Syracuse in 1987 for his third NCAA title.

Him tossing the chair statue would be epic.
