Stings to lose to Purdue, but they definitely had superior talent and size. They really do have a pick your poison type of team this year. Leave Haas one on one and he just gobbles you up, and if you try to double him, they have multiple shooters on the perimeter who knock it down just about every time. Archie had a great game plan and kept us in it until the end. When he’s able to get his recruits in here and we have more talent next year and beyond, watch out. I can see him owning the Big Ten.

Calm down, Rob played some fantastic defense and ripped in 21(?) points with some very difficult shots to keep us hanging around. Other than a turnover and a head scratching scoop shot (which he is usually good with), he played a fantastic game.

This. Without him it isn't even close.

When I think a player can't have a lower IQ than Newkirk, I watch Green.  When I think a player can't have a lower IQ than Green, Newkirk does something mind boggling.
It's like one does something infuriatingly stupid, and the other says 'I can top that'.
I missed the last 7 minutes but sounds like the same old boneheads plays, again.

I know we are all disappointed. I Absolutely HATE losing to Purdue but a couple points: 1) This is a good Purdue team —maybe the best they have ever had—and we played them toe to toe. This is not one of the better Indiana teams and we played about as good as we can today. 2) I found myself watching our defense which was superb at times and I was imagining it once we get Archie’s players here. Length will make a lot of difference—especially on defense —rebounding—and rim protection. As disappointed as I am by the loss to our rival—I remain excited and optimistic about the future of IU basketball...Go Hoosiers! Still rather be a Hoosier than a Boiler any day of the week!

Nah, not best they’ve ever had. Not even maybe. Yes they really good but I wouldn’t go there

Green didn't play the second half but Newkirk made up for it the last few minutes.

1)  Performances like this are why performances like Wednesday against Illinois are unacceptable.

2)  Students if you don't get it after today - why it's important you be there for ALL conference games and not just "big" ones, I have no idea why you go at all.

3)  Johnson, for the great game he had really let us down with that BS shot late.  We need a bucket and he throws that runner crap up there?   God that frustrates me.

4)   Green may be done after the season.   And I don't care.

Indiana will get there quickly if they defend that way and get in transition opportunistically like they did today.  A lot to like, but "close" isn't good enough.

Can’t hate on RoJo. However, Newkirk is entirely a different situation. I can’t wait for Phinisee

I was really hard on RoJo early on but his play in the last roughly 2 weeks has me back on his wagon. Kid plays hard on both ends. Moving forward, hope he stays as aggressive as he did tonight offensively for the remainder of the season

Another thought. Would be nice to have Cujo as an option for games like today. DeRon Davis would have helped a ton too. I think.

I'm fine if we lose Green. I'd like to keep Moore, but man, today should have been a tailor made game to let him grab some minutes.

Would’ve been tough for me to give him any time vs Haas. Maybe against that other kid

I hated on RoJo a lot to begin the season. His play warranted it. But yeah he’s played really well ever since that dreaded Louisville game
