WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I'd also recommend these kids with NBA pipe dreams to go watch a few G league games. Some of these guys are really, really good and can't sniff the league. They might learn how far off they are from where they need to be or put them back in reality. Archie Goodwin, TJ Leaf, Marcus Paige, CJ Fair, Anigbuno, Cat Barber and some random cats that would run circles around our guys. It's always bothered me when these guys that clearly have no business thinking NBA but aren't buying into the college game. Then they get schooled by ISU or IPFW. A part of me thinks it's hilarious. This was a chance to avenge one of the more embarrassing losses in IU history. We should have been "turnt up". This team has next to zero fire. Miller has a lot but it isn't connecting. I hope half the team transfers tbh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Most of Crean's players were mental midgets. And honestly, our current roster is why Crean needed to be gone two years earlier. He was done in 2015. He knew it, fans knew it, recruits knew it. And now that he's finally gone, we have a roster of two average to below average recruiting classes, a one-man junior class and seniors that are too far gone to really connect with Archie. Do we have a top class coming in next year? Jury is out at this point, so we shall see. Please tell me about the bright light shining through the tunnel. It looks like the same train to me. Please tell me why a transfer from a middle of the road is seeing the floor at IU. Sell me how CAM > CTC. This should be good. I also want to go on the record that the CTC era was underwhelming to say the least. You have the floo The jury is out? Opening arguments haven't even been completed. We're 12 games into CAM's first season. There is just no way in hell he was ever going to be able to unteach the bad habits these players have been taught overnight. I realize some of you expected as much but that was never realistic. I'm not saying Archie is blameless in this loss but you are already passing judgment on his coaching abilities based on 12 games with a deeply flawed roster, which honestly is absurd. You say the FCTC was underwhelming but want CAM to pull a rabbit out of the hat? This roster, minus an NBA player plus two G-League players, is the same that lost in their opening home (road) NIT game. You want CAM to take that talent and be a tourney team? If it takes 3-4 freaking years to turn it around at a so called,"Blue Blood", you are in way over your head. I don't care what sport we're talking about. This is about being one of the top pais employees in the entire state. You don't get 3-4 years to show us anything. Dance or move on. I'm sorry, but I have heard all of the chicken sheet I can stand. The TO's are the same, the so called "pack line defense", has mid majors licking their chops. We have another snake oil salesman that is selling the same ole story for a multi million dollar payday. ISU and FW @$$ kicking? Really? What ya sippin'? Grape or cherry? It took Tom Izzo 3 seasons to be competitive.....Coach K took 6 seasons until he won the ACC for the 1st time....Dean Smith 6 seasons..... I'm not happy about the way this season is going but this reaction is over the top and borderline insane.... this team stinks but I've seen them defend, protect the ball, execute out of timeouts, and execute in the half court in ways that I haven't seen an IU team do in over 10 years..... just do yourself a favor and check out for the year. You'll be doing your mental health a favor. If you can't see the obvious limitations that this current roster has and the fact that our coach is trying to turn water into wine, with a roster he had NOTHING to do with, then you can't be reasoned with. Ranger78 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Lol. For the love of God where were you Saturday when we beat ND. It’s the same ******* team. Coach Miller can coach. These two games vs ISU and FT Wayne are those teams super bowl.... makes their season and could not come at any worse of time. The 1st game vs a mid major IND school vs a team with a new coach and system. The game after a grueling 5 game stretch and best win of the year. Good teams win both, but that’s not what we have. We have a group of roll players trying to win games. The same ******* team that beat ND on Sat. I’m not making excuses.... just stating facts. I’m not happy about the loss, but I’m not crying about it either. Coach Miller will regroup and we will see what we have at the end of the year. If you don’t give this coach minimum 3 years, you will be shocked what we get next. Football seems to be the go to today, so look at Tennessee. Golfman25 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Guys it's a bad roster. And they didn't play well. Miller knows what he's doing and should do a good job. Only thing I was disappointed with is not benching the starters and letting the middle and end of the bench show what they have. BGleas and HoosierCoop 2 Quote

You can only build toughness when you understand that it's their super bowl and helps in the long run. Getting Indiana talent that understands you need to beat the little dogs nipping at your feet will help too. rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 No excuse to EVER lose AT HOME to an instate mid-major. This is as devastating a loss as Notre Dame was an awesome win. Ranger78 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I’m fine with playing in-state mid majors, but with the make up of this team and the timing of the games - the outcomes were not shocking to me. Disappointing yes, but not earth shattering. I want teams that will bulldoze those teams and I think we have the coach that will build us that team. Not sure it’s this year or next, but I think he’s the answer. I’m personally not worried about making the tournament this year. I could care less. Would I be excited yes, but it’s really not that important to me. And please don’t call me soft for having that opinion. Lol. FortWayneHoosier Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Something is wrong when a fan such as myself, is not even mad. This is so expected now with this program. To let a team like IPFW come into our house and smack us around with what we have is absolutely ridiculous. Archie should really be aware that the honey moon is over. IU is a place that will love you as long as you win but the minute you lose, you better believe people are gonna have questions. I just want this program to win again that is all, I seriously don’t even get excited to watch anymore. Something needs to changeSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
