I’m not worried about what the signees are thinking....I’m worried what Romeo and Darius are thinking!

We are soft. We've been soft for a while. Archie wants some dogs. Go get some dogs Archie. Go get some dogs.

He sounds like me. BTW, I watched some Michigan State. Big, Strong, Athletic, competitors, take pride in defense. Ugh.

Al and Hartman might be the only dogs, as of now. We will see how it goes and who emerges.

That was one of the things that frustrated the bejabbers out of me about Crean. He spent several years with Izzo, yet while MSU was tough and physical and played defense, we were soft and played no D. And while Izzo was always able -- even after so-so regular seasons -- to get his teams to peak in March, Crean's always seemed to fade out. I guess he didn't learn much.

This wont be easy but i have no doubt this coaching staff will succeed eventually. This season may get rough as heck but if archie is the type of competitor i think he is this will be humbling learning experience for him and some of are young players. Have faith friends and pray like hell we get some star recruits because we need them now more than ever it seems

You are right on all points. That's why I wanted Akinjo so bad. THAT kid is a dawg. Not sure Garland's that, though maybe his talent would overcome it.

And, yeah, MSU is just a complete team. They can win any kind of game. A pleasure to watch.

I would love to come in here and say I am proud of our seniors that saw the floor tonight. I am not at all. They looked lost and worse than our Freshmen. When your freshmen are trying to pick up the Seniors there is a problem. They better do some soul searching because that was unacceptable on another level.

There is way too much talent to come out on game one and play like this. We cannot start this "wait until Archie gets his own guys in" crap. IU needs to do a lot more with the current group, too much talent not to. No reason we should ever lose like this to a team like Indiana state. Loses will happen but this was horrible

I agree we shouldnt lose a game like this. But I question the talent level. Who is our best player? At what positions can we compete against the talent level of a MSU? We have a whole team of guys who should be the 3-5 option.

You have to start wondering if playing these small Indiana schools is a good idea. I like the idea of it and think it’s great for the state but not sure the pros outweigh the cons if you’re IU. Playing IU is the biggest game of the year for ISU or IPFW so they are going to bring everything they got. If IU wins, no one will bat an eye but if they lose, then it is a back breaker. I know a lot of people like that idea of adding even more of these games to the schedule each year (Ball St, Evansville, etc.) but these games are no cake walks. I’m hoping in a couple years this is a moot point and CAM has IU working like a well oiled machine but I guess time will tell.

I agree. We are young and not very talented. All of our scoring left besides rojo and he has his head up his ### right now.

Our roster just isn't very good.  Granted we're better than a team that gets blown out at home to Indiana State, but we just don't have enough guys right now.

I don't think Hartman is going to make that much of a difference.

We'll get better eventually, and when we do, the roster is going to look a LOT different than it currently does.
