But apparently, it's OK to create fake classes and give A's and B's to athletes who never went to class, never took a test and never wrote a paper. Well-done, NCAA. IU shouldn't have reported and sanctioned themselves; sounds good but gets you nothing. Quote
OliviaPope40 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 I read they spent 18 million in legal fees. Quote

pumpfake Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Rule #1 going forward: 1. Never, Never, NEVER ever self-report or cooperate in any way with to/with the NCAA. In fact, if they conduct an investigation threaten to appeal and take it to court preemptively and that will kill the inquiry. Iugradman, ElectricBoogaloo and Deserthoozier 3 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 And just remember folks these papers weren't even written by the athletes. There's literally a video of Mccants admitting the athletic tutors wrote them. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
Bailey7878 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Not sure why anyone is shocked. This investigation was a sham. The fbi is the only one who can touch roy.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
pumpfake Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 I wonder if this will shift the general attitude from UK being the biggest cheating program to UNC? Worse yet, does it even matter? Quote

Worse yet, does it even matter? Nope. To be fair I think we should probably give Sampson a break now. Considering the scum he was recruiting against. Not his fault we were stupid and self reported. pumpfake Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 We should designate HH as "Indiana Basketball History 101" and award credits to any athletes, students, or future students in attendance. (Not an original thought - paraphrased from something read elsewhere). Quote
Bailey7878 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Anyone think the ncaa will do anything to arizona? Very doubtful.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk reconmkd 1 Quote
Baltimore Hoosier Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Let me get this straight just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly... UNC officially admits to 18 years of academic wrongdoing, completely pivots from that stance a year later and denies all wrongdoing. Now, after a years-long investigation, because UNC wouldn't come back and admit academic fraud and some Non-athletes were involved in these bogus courses, there is nothing the NCAA can do? What a ******* joke. Seriously. Tyler Hansbrough has a college degree in Swahili for **** sake! How can this happen? Indiana gets nailed to the wall for telling on their idiot coach for making impermissible phone calls and UNC gets NOTHING for 18 years of academic fraud by their student athletes and professors? I cannot believe what I'm reading in the notes from this investigation. The NCAA is a completely bogus association with zero authority and power to do anything about the real scandals going on in college sports. I need to breathe before I have an aneurism.. Brass Cannon Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 To be fair I think the NCAA knew they would lose on appeal and just wanted it over. But still. Take a stand you gutless peons. LamarCheeks, Stuhoo, ElectricBoogaloo and 1 other 4 Quote
323SGrant Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 UNC provides academically fraudulent classes to athletes and non-athletes and the NCAA is saying that is not a recruiting advantage for UNC? If the NCAA can’t do anything about this cheating then get a governing body that can. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Josh and Hoosier82 2 Quote
323SGrant Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Maybe Romeo will feel more comfortable going to UNC because regardless of their violations, there will no penalties given to cheating Roy and UNC.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Stu you read far too much into that post. Simply the FBI gets involved because the NCAA proves its incompetence regularly. mdn82 1 Quote
